The prequel series to the beloved Jim Henson film The Dark Crystal, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, is fast approaching, with a release date of August 30th. To help build anticipation for the groundbreaking new series Netflix have released a new trailer that really showcases the amount of action and adventure viewers can expect.
Taking place before the events of the original film, the series will show the battle between the evil Skeksis and the Gelflings, a conflict that was only hinted at in the movie. After learning that the Skeksis have been lying to the inhabitants of the world of Thra a group of young Gelflings named Rian, Deet, and Brea form a resistance group to fight them.
The series will star the voice talent of actor that include Taron Egerton, Nathalie Emanuel, MArk Hamill, Lena Headey, Toby Jones, Jason Isaacs, Simon Pegg, Sigourney Weaver, Eddie Izzard, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
